ServiceSimplified is designed for service groups and volunteers, in order to make scheduling events, tracking hours, and seeing overviews of your service much more user-friendly.
For Leaders - Create groups, schedule events, manage volunteers, as well as track their hours.
For Volunteers - Join groups, view and attend upcoming events, as well as check and submit hours.
Everything is fully functional, but there are new features that I still wish to add.
Coming Soon - Exportable overviews and events, notifications reminders for new and upcoming events, as well as enhanced tools for leaders.
History:
This project began in my Junior year of high school as an idea in the Gallup GET HIP program, when we were asked to pitch a project proposal.
As the president and the secretary of a service club at my school, I noticed how difficult and time-consuming it was to coordinate, send reminders, and track hours for our volunteers.
Thus, ServiceSimplified was born. As project manager and primary developer, I led my team - Cate Longo, Rohan Badal, and Emma Carlson - through the initial stages of development.
After the program ended, I personally took on the project and drastically improved it before finalizing and deploying it to the web, iOS, and other devices.
The whole process of managing, brainstorming, and developing, has made ServiceSimplified one of my greatest accomplishments and learning experiences.
